Great stay in a cozy spot!
Had a lovely time here! The staff was super friendly, and the traditional vibe was cool. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the Scottish cooked options. Only wish our room had a bit more light since it was kinda street level, but it was comfy and clean overall.

A spacious and clean room made for a comfortable stay. The bed provided excellent support, and the location was conveniently close to major attractions. Breakfast was a mix of delicious options, although the service could have been swifter during busy hours. It’s worth noting the excellent hot water supply in the bathroom for a refreshing shower.

Had a fantastic time here, especially enjoying the cozy bed and delicious breakfast options. The hotel also had a nice relaxation area and a small bar to unwind after a busy day. Just a heads up, some of the decor seemed a bit dated, but overall, it didn't take away from our stay at all! 😊

Excellent historical charm with unique room features.

We spent three nights and really enjoyed how cozy our room was. The staff left some mint tea bags just for us, which was a sweet touch. The hotel also had a nice lounge area to relax in after exploring, and a bar for a nightcap. The only downside was that some areas could use a good clean-up to match the lovely vibe elsewhere. 😊

pleasant stay with some access challenges
The staff members were warm and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. The convenient location meant we had plenty of shops and restaurants nearby for family meals.
While the entrance was secure, accessing it could be a bit tricky, especially with luggage.

Loved the location! It was only a 10-minute walk to the Royal Mile. The room was cozy and clean, but the bathroom ventilation could use improvement—it got steamy too fast. Overall, a great stay! 😊

We had a fantastic time exploring Edinburgh with our two teenage kids. The hotel’s location made it easy for us to visit famous spots like the Edinburgh Castle, which we all loved for its rich history. Spacious rooms added comfort too.
In my wife’s opinion, it would be great if the hotel had fridges in the rooms for families to store snacks. My kids wished for that extra convenience during our stay.
