I loved wandering to the nearby Edinburgh Castle, just a 15-minute stroll away, and enjoying the scenic views at Princes Street Gardens, which was only a peaceful 10-minute walk from the hotel, making my weekend city strolls a delightful experience. plus, the staff were super friendly and always ready to help throughout my stay.

Had a lovely time here! The staff was super friendly, and the traditional vibe was cool. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the Scottish cooked options. Only wish our room had a bit more light since it was kinda street level, but it was comfy and clean overall.

Excellent historical charm with unique room features.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and noisy.

We spent three nights and really enjoyed how cozy our room was. The staff left some mint tea bags just for us, which was a sweet touch. The hotel also had a nice lounge area to relax in after exploring, and a bar for a nightcap. The only downside was that some areas could use a good clean-up to match the lovely vibe elsewhere. 😊

We had a fantastic time exploring Edinburgh with our two teenage kids. The hotel’s location made it easy for us to visit famous spots like the Edinburgh Castle, which we all loved for its rich history. Spacious rooms added comfort too.

In my wife’s opinion, it would be great if the hotel had fridges in the rooms for families to store snacks. My kids wished for that extra convenience during our stay.
